Harissa

This important ingredient of North African Cuisine, especially in combinations with Couscous and Tajines dishes can be used as a tasty substitute for any hot sauce. The original HARISSA comes from a peninsula in Tunisia, Le Cap Bon. It is made of hot chili pepper fruits, garlic, eastern spices and salt. The French HARISSA is less hot because carrots, turnips and beetroots are added.
